Life

Life is not fair. My mom's ex husband has been smoking his whole life and has recently decided he doesn't want to live anymore blah blah blah it gets repetitive. He's had to have a stint put in his heart and now he's having more heart issues and apparently he has lung cancer now. Over the two years he's been depressed and going through this he's wanted to die, but has he? No he has not.
One of our insureds' daughter, Charlotte, was diagnosed with bone cancer in her arm. It started in her humerous and was spreading to her chest. She was in remission and was looking like she was doing good one day and then the next it came back and she passed. She passed away on August 16th, 2009 and was six years old. SIX YEARS OLD! Her life had barely even started and she was taken away. My mom's ex husband wants to die and is still here! It just doesn't make any sense to me.
This year has seemed to be a year of death and diagnosis. So many people me and my mom or grandpa have know have either died of cancer, been diagnosed with cancer or has died some other way. One lady we knew died of cancer and she was so loved and so kind and didn't deserve to be taken away and yet she was. She faught so hard throughout the cancer and reading the email updates made us extremely hopeful, but then it came back again like Charlotte's. It's so sad to think of all the people lost this year.
Life really is precious.
